Due Date Policy
Effective early 2021, due dates will be changed from 20th and 6th of each month to just the 6th of each month. If the 6th falls on a weekend or holiday, the due date will be the next business day.
What does this mean for us and for you?
- There will now just be one universal due date
- Your bill is still due upon receipt, but there are now over 2 additional weeks to pay if needed. For instance:
- January 20th bill is due February 8th
- February 22nd bill is due March 8th
- March 22nd bill is due April 6th (and so forth)
- This will eliminate the need to request a payment extension
- Meter reading days will not change
- Budget Billing will not change
- Fixed income will not be affected, as this is the usual due date
- Autopay will be changed to reflect the new date
- If you want to be added or removed from the list, please give our Customer Service Representatives a call before the 1st of the month
- You can also sign up for ACH withdraw online
- Promissory notes will no longer be offered
Late Fee Policy
Effective August / September 2021, the late fee percentage will be changing from 10% to 5% of the running balance on your account.
What does this mean for you?
- This will cut the late fee charged to your account in half.
- 5% on a balance of $100 is $5
- 5% on a balance of $200 is $10
- 5% on a balance of $300 is $15
