Payment Options

Note: The provided options are the only approved methods of payment by the Town of Smyrna. Any other forms of payment may not be received. The town is not responsible for payments made via other vendors or non-approved methods.

Direct Debit Plan

Allow the Town of Smyrna to automatically debit a checking account for your monthly utility bill. Please note that requests for a Direct Debit Plan must be processed and will not be effective immediately. Any requests received after the 1st of the month will take effect the following month. Online Payments

The Town of Smyrna now offers a new way to pay your utilities online, via Click2Gov. Once you sign up, you can access your live account from anywhere! Our new system offers real-time, up-to-date, online views of customer utility accounts, while also providing several convenient payment options. We accept Visa, Mastercard, and Discover credit cards, Visa and Mastercard debit, and eCheck!

Pay by Phone

Please call 302-653-9231 option 2; you will need your utility account number and have a credit card or checking account information available.

Town Hall

Utility bill payments can be made at Town Hall Monday through Friday, from 8:00am to 4:30pm. Town Hall accepts cash, checks, and money orders. Note that payments cannot be made with a credit card at Town Hall; credit card payments should be made online or via phone.

Drop-Box

The brown drop box outside of Town Hall is checked at 8:00am and 4:30pm daily; a check or money order can be placed here. Please note that payments dropped off after 4:30pm will not be recognized until the following business day.

Mail

Check or money orders can be mailed to Town Hall at 27 S. Market St. Plaza Smyrna, DE 19977. Note that payments will be recognized on the day they are received; late fees will be assessed if payments are received after the deadline.
