Residents may register at Smyrna Town Hall (27 South Market Street Plaza) between 8:30 a.m. and 4 p.m. weekdays until 14 days prior to the town election, at which time registration is closed. People who are properly registered to vote in statewide elections with the
State Department of Elections
and are otherwise qualified to vote in town elections are deemed registered voters under the town's voter registration ordinance.
Any person not identified as a registered voter on the list obtained from the State Department of Elections by the close of registration at 4:30 p.m. 14 days before the day of the election shall not be permitted to vote in that election.
Any person unable to register in person due to physical impairment or because of public or military duties may register by mail. Details for mail registration are available at the Town Office or under the
Absentee Voting Page
on this website. The dates for absentee registration are the same as for all other registrations.
