3/10/21 update:
Beginning Monday, March 15, 2021, the library will be resuming limited in-person appointments on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays for computer usage and browsing.
Due to the limited number of people that we can accommodate due to our size and limited schedule, we are implementing the following guidelines.
Enter through the front door and exit through the back door for all appointments.
Face coverings must be worn at all times, completely covering the nose and mouth. This includes staff and patrons.
The Smyrna Public Library does not provide masks/face coverings or any other type of personal protective equipment.
Returned materials are not being accepted at the front desk. All returns must be placed in the return box at the back door entrance or the drop box inside the front door entrance.
Appointments for entry are for a total of 30 minutes. No re-entry will be permitted.
If you miss your scheduled appointment, we will be happy to reschedule for another available time or day.
Patrons arriving late for their computer appointment will receive only the balance of their 30-minute appointment time, as patrons are scheduled after them.
Appointments can be scheduled up to one week in advance.
Reservations for 25-minute time slots on the computers are mandatory. Scheduling computer times will allow for computer stations to be cleaned after each use.
Assistance on computers will be extremely limited, as staff will be adhering to the social distancing guidelines.
Curbside service will continue.
Curbside Service Hours Remain:
Monday – Friday 10:00 am to 5:30 pm
Saturday 10:00 am to 1:30 pm
We welcome you to place holds on CD’s, DVD’s, Blu-rays, books, audiobooks, and magazines from the above list of participating libraries. We apologize for the length of time that it will take to receive requested items, but assure you that we are working diligently to obtain them as quickly as possible.
Our book drop is open 24/7. All materials deposited into the book drop will be quarantined for one week before being returned Fine Free.
Thank you for keeping your library staff safe during this trying time. We look forward to seeing you soon!
