Code of Conduct

Code of Conduct

The Town of Smyrna adopted a Code of Conduct (also known as an Ethics Code) in 2006.

The purpose of this code is to establish ethical standards of conduct for all officials and employees of the town by setting forth those acts or actions that are incompatible with the best interests of the town and by directing disclosure by such officials and employees of private financial or other interests in the town.

Copies are available for review at the Town Hall, 27 S. Market Street Plaza, Smyrna, during normal business hours.  They are also on our website.  Just click on Municipal Code -> Chapter 2 -> Administration -> Article V. -> Code of Conduct.

Concerns or complaints may be submitted in writing to Ethics Commission, Town of Smyrna, P.O. Box 323, Smyrna, DE  19977.
