Snow Emergency Routes

Snow Emergency Route

Certain streets in the Town of Smyrna are designated as “Snow Emergency Routes”. Anytime snowfall exceeds one hour in duration, all vehicles must be removed from these streets which are designated with signs.

Vehicles in violation of this provision will be towed at the owner’s expense.

The Town has a snow removal plan that designates the order in which streets are plowed.  This plan was designed and is followed to protect the health, safety, and welfare of the Town’s citizens.

Citizens must remove snow and ice from their sidewalks within 24 hours after snowfall ceases.
