Yard Waste Collection

Yard waste (grass clippings, leaves, branches, twigs, tree limbs and prunings, flower cuttings, weeds, shrub and hedge clippings, sod, and garden waste – including, but not limited to vines, plants, fruit/vegetables and vegetable matter) is not permitted

to be mixed with any garbage, refuse, or recyclables for regular trash collection.

Law Enforcement False Alarms

Law Enforcement personnel respond to thousands of false alarm calls yearly. These unnecessary responses result in an enormous burden in manpower and expense; which in turn reduces the time available to respond to real emergencies.

Hydrant Flushing & Flow Testing

The Town of Smyrna Water Department personnel will be flushing and flow testing fire hydrants between 6:00 AM and 2:30 PM on July 15, 16, and 17, 2014 weather permitting.

In case of inclement weather, the flushing will be postponed until July 22, 23, and 24, 2014. This is necessary to purge our water system and to provide quality water to our residents.

Commerce Street Utility Replacement Project

Commerce Street

The Town of Smyrna has contracted with Lindstrom Excavating Contractors, Inc. for the Commerce Street Utility Replacement Project. This work will be done during night time hours from 7:00 PM until 5:00 Am.
