The Town of Smyrna is seeking a licensed Contractor to provide all labor, supervision, equipment, materials, and expertise required to perform tree planting, tree pruning and trimming, tree removal, stump removal, and treatment of diseased trees in the Town of Smyrna in or around streets, sidewalks, utility poles, utility lines, and other locations in the Town of Smyrna as required by the Town and/or according to Chapter 74, Vegetation, Article III, Trees, of the Town Code and as more particularly described in the Bid Proposal Form. The term of the contract will be for two years. The Contractor shall be responsible for the appropriate disposal of all limbs, trees, stumps, or other debris that is cut down, removed, or otherwise generated by the Contractor pursuant to this Contract, the costs of which shall be incorporated into the prices quoted in the Bid Proposal Form.

All questions about the meaning or intent of the Contract Documents are to be directed to the Town Manager. Interpretations or clarifications considered necessary in response to such questions will be issued by Addenda mailed or delivered to all parties recorded by the Town as having received Bidding Documents. Questions received less than five (5) days prior to the date of opening of Bids may not be answered. Only questions answered by formal written Addenda will be binding. Oral and other interpretations or clarifications will be without legal effect.

Complete sets of Bidding Documents must be used in preparing Bids; the Town will not assume any responsibility for errors or misinterpretations resulting from the use of incomplete sets of Bidding Documents. Bidding Documents consist of: Instructions to Bidders, Special Conditions, Scope of Work, Contractor Qualifications, and Bid Proposal Form.
Before submitting a Bid, each Bidder will, at Bidder’s own expense, make or obtain any additional examinations, measurements, investigations, explorations, tests and studies and obtain any additional information and data which pertain to the physical condition (surface, subsurface and underground facilities) at or contiguous to the site or otherwise which may affect cost, progress, performance or furnishing of the work and which Bidder deems necessary to determine its Bid for performing and furnishing the work in accordance with the time and other terms and conditions of the Contract Documents.
